12 September 2025 – Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has been awarded a 10-year contract by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for comprehensive annual maintenance of Bombardier-made metro trains, associated machines and plants, as well as housekeeping services for both the trains and the Badli Depot. In addition, Alstom will be in charge of the maintenance for onboard signalling equipment installed in all 103 trains of Lines 1& 2. The contract is valued at approximately €42.1m.

The contract was awarded following a competitive bidding process initiated by DMRC, with a defined duration of 10 years. Under this contract, Alstom will undertake comprehensive annual maintenance to ensure high performance, reliability, and safety of the fleet. The scope of work includes scheduled and corrective maintenance of trains, maintenance of depot-based machinery and plant systems, and overall housekeeping services for both the trains and the depot at Badli. Alstom will bring a strategic edge to metro maintenance for DMRC through its global expertise and advanced predictive analytics. With optimized processes and OEM support. Alstom will offer full-spectrum integrated maintenance including corrective, preventive, and overhaul services that will be tailored to DMRC’s evolving needs. Leveraging data-driven platforms, Alstom will proactively prevent failures, ensuring high fleet reliability and reduced downtime. Its global footprint—over 250 sites and 35,500 vehicles maintained—underscores its reliability.

Alstom has also signed a maintenance contract for onboard signalling equipment installed in all 103 trains of Lines 1& 2. The scope for signalling services includes failure diagnosis, technical support and spare provision for Onboard ATC & Under frame ATC equipment. Additionally, Alstom will supply and install data logger cards for better diagnosis
